Brahma is the first of the three deities recognised in Hinduism.  Brahma is the creator, Vishnu the preserver and Shiva the destroyer.  For mythological reasons Bahma is extremely rarely honoured with temples dedicated to him, and is not included in the main branches of devotion by devotees.
